The Weisman-Pederson speculum is a medical instrument used primarily in gynecological exams and procedures. It is a type of bivalve vaginal speculum, designed with narrow, flat blades and a side-opening feature. This design is especially well-suited for patients with narrow or atrophic vaginal canals, such as those who are postmenopausal or nulliparous.
